We want to be completely clear about this, because the format of this site could otherwise give the wrong impression.
Trusty Reviews is not independent, not impartial and not a third party. We do not review anyone else's companies. We do not compare our companies against competitors. We do not rank them against each other. We do not award ratings, badges, seals or certifications of any kind — the only ratings on this site are the ones customers give us, and the star average on each page is calculated mechanically from every review shown on it.
This is a place where our customers post feedback about our companies, and where prospective customers can read it. That is all it is.
We run several garage-door companies. Their reviews were scattered across different platforms and hard for a homeowner to find in one place. We wanted somewhere you could see the actual track record — every company, all the feedback, in one view.
The obvious objection is that a company-run review site will only show the good ones. So we built it not to. Every review we receive is published unless it breaks the narrow content rules in our Review Policy — rules we apply the same way to five-star reviews as to one-star ones. We publish our negative reviews, we reply to them in public, and we keep an internal record of everything we remove and why.
You do not have to take our word for any of this. Our companies are also reviewed on Google and other platforms we have no control over, and we would encourage you to check those too.
After a completed job we send the customer a request to leave a review. Everyone gets the same request — we do not screen customers first and we do not send the review link only to the ones we think are happy. Anyone can post without creating an account.
